Grittleton House Wedding Photographer
Updated 28.01.21
It’s quite a privilege to be one of the popular Grittleton House Wedding Photographers and a recommended supplier. Perhaps the best part being that I get to visit the gorgeous country house in the village of Grittleton, Wiltshire so many times in a year! Weddings here are always special and the Grade II* listed house (more of a mansion!) is packed full of stunning features to capture, with it’s unique architecture it really is a photographers playground. (One of my favourite things to do is to take the bride and groom to the very top floor, which through a small door leads out to a quite frankly scary – but safe! – balcony. From up there we can get stunning photos and then the couples can make their way down so that I can capture them from above while they dance, spin, lift, kiss or do whatever they feel like!)
A wonderfully unique venue
From the balcony, Orangery and vast gardens, to endless huge rooms inside there are just so many options for amazing images and so I’m able to tailor the type of photos I take to each couples style or tastes. Every wedding is unique and a venue like Grittleton really helps gives couples the flexibility the create the perfect day they imagined – you can even have your ceremony outside! It didn’t take long for the place to shoot up my list of favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds and now there’s no doubt it’s one of the best.
If you’re thinking about booking Grittleton as your wedding venue then I’d highly recommend it, and if you’ve already booked it then you have a lot to look forward to! If you’re looking for a Grittleton House Wedding Photographer I’d love to be a part of your day and promise to blend in seamlessly. You can contact me here:

Wedding Photography
To me wedding photography should be natural and unobtrusive, but unique and stunning also. I want to give you the space to let you relax and take it all in, but that doesn’t mean boring photos! Typically during the couples photos I’ll use a telephoto or zoom lens to capture you as you elegantly (no doubt!) walk around the grounds or through the house. When there’s a beautiful spot to stop at I’ll make sure you’re nice and close to each other and then snap away while you discuss what inappropriate comments you expect the best man to say in the speeches. Luckily couples are usually so loved up that they throw in a few kisses, laughs and natural smiles and then I’m happy, but if they’re still a little stiff I’m happy to make suggestions for beautifully natural shots.
One of the best things on the day is as the wedding progresses couples inevitably slip into being comfortable around me and then the real fun starts. Twirls are encouraged at every opportunity and lifts are great fun if you’re feeling confident! As you get more confident I can get closer and use stunning lenses like my Nikon 35mm f1.4 which most of my portfolio work was taken with, it’s really quite magical. After your wedding breakfast I’ll be on the lookout for lovely warm light during the ‘golden hour’ and often this is the perfect time to nip away for romantic, flare filled film like photos, and then I love to end the day with a night shot. This could be with sparklers, off camera flashes or any one of the many tricks I have up my sleeve :).
