The Best Wedding Venues in Bristol

(Updated January 2021)

We’re lucky to have some of the best wedding venues in the country in Bristol. Whether you’re after stylish city vibes (The Square Club) a stunning outside ceremony (Euridge Manor) or a cool/gothic feel (Arnos vale) all tastes are catered for. Perhaps Bristol Zoo and a reception surrounded by animals is your thing? Or love the idea of arriving back at the venue by helicopter – in this case Orchardleigh house. Sometimes it’s just about keeping things simple and hiring a big beautiful barn with top quality chefs to allow you and your guests to have the best party possible and in that case I highly recommend Priston Mill.

Whatever it is you’re looking for hopefully you’ll be inspired by my list of the top venues in the area  – in no particular order as they’re all awesome in different ways. If you like my photographs and think I’d be a good fit for your wedding I’d love to hear from you, you can get in touch here: Contact

Best outside ceremony option: Euridge House & Orangery

Also known as Euridge Manor or the Lost Orangery, a real gem not far from Castle Coombe and just off the M4 so perfect for travel from London. Ceremonies can be in the Orangery or in front of the impressive (incredible!) duck pond. Once a hunting lodge for Sir Walter Raleigh it’s gardens are immaculate and weave through the property with endless lovely spots for photography. Here’s a link to Catherine and Ben’s wedding: Blog

A nice big barn between Bristol and Bath: Priston Mill

Priston has the larger Tythe Barn or Watermill for smaller weddings with an outside option. Both deserve bonus points for their fantastic food! Here’s a link to a blog post from The Tythe Barn: Blog

A stunning Manor House: Grittleton House

Grittleton House is a stunning Manor House dating back to 1660. It’s huge, the architecture’s truly unique and it even has an Orangery for outside weddings. Emma the coordinator is wonderfully helpful too!

The best of all worlds: Coombe Lodge

A beautiful house with stunning grounds that can also accommodate outside ceremonies. I can’t fault Coombe Lodge, plus the staff and food are top notch – nosh?

Animals at a wedding venue! Bristol Zoo

A Bristol Zoo Wedding is certainly a guest pleaser! You can have your ceremony in the Clifton Pavillion on site and then mingle amongst the penguins afterwards.

Stunning architecture and gardens: Orchardleigh House

They have the option of your ceremony in the on site Chapel with reception at the impressive main house or there’s the newer Walled Garden, both wonderful locations. Here’s a link to a wedding held in the main house: Blog

For a ceremony in the city: The Square Club

The square club wedding bristol

Probably the coolest Hotel in Bristol though it doesn’t feel like one, probably because it’s also a private members club for creatives. Also in the Heart of Bristol so you can take a stroll through Brandon Park as newly weds. Amy and Ben even ventured to Browns!: Blog

Escape to the country: Old Down Estate

Old Down Estate

Old Down Manor’s on the outskirts of Bristol and if you’re looking for a traditionally British Manor House it may be the one for you. Personally I love the gardens and of course the fantastic views as featured above.

I couldn’t believe there was a castle on the outskirts of Bristol when I first visited but it’s the real deal and a pretty special place to get married. Mio and Andrew had a magical winter wedding: Blog

A ceremony in a cemetery! Arnos Vale

Arnos Vale Weddings are very unique and very cool. Yes it’s a cemetery but the prettiest one you’ve ever seen, and the architecture makes for awesome photos.

Grandeur close to the center of town: Kings Western House

Another beauty that was an extremely pleasant surprise when I first found out about it. Only just on the outskirts of Bristol the house is gorgeous and the interior just as impressive.

Bonus venue a little further away:

Well worth the travel: Brympton House

Brympton House Wedding ceremony

It’s about an hour and a halves drive South of Bristol but totally worth it! The Chapel on site is gorgeous and there are unlimited spots for beautiful photos, definitely a favourite of mine! Lucy & Alvar had an absolute blast on their wedding day: Blog
